World telecom history & today’s scenario, telecommunication in India, telecom opportunities, various telecom operators & telecom equipment vendors, future telecom scenario in India(WCDMA, UMTS,3G ,4G(LTE)….)

MODULE: 2
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:
Introduction to wireless communication, Basic knowledge of EM Theory, Frequency & Spectrum, Transmission Fundamentals, Transmission Techniques(PDH,SDH )Radio & MW propagation, Antenna Theory, Diversity techniques, VSWR(Voltage standing wave ratio), E1/T1 Concept, MUX(multiplexing), Various Multiplexing Techniques(TDMA,CDMA,OFDMA),Basic theory of Analog/ Digital Signal, Modulation Techniques(PCM,GMSK,QPSK), Spread spectrum(CDMA), Signal Processing & Propagation(GSM Speech Processing), Transmission Problems & Solutions, Optical Network/ Optical Fiber.

MODULE: 3
SYSTEM DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS:
Fundamentals of cellular concept, GSM & CDMA network Architecture & Identities, Terms Details(MS,BTS,BSC,MSC), Channel concept, Traffic Cases, Working & Design Principle of GSM & CDMA( Based on Handover, Location Updating, Call Assignment), GSM & CDMA Switching System, Signaling, WCDMA, UMTS,3G,4G (LTE).

WIRELESS NETWORKING & PROTOCOLS
OSI Model, X.25, SS7, VOIP, Layer-2 & 3 Protocols, Wi-max, Cellular Wireless Network.

MODULE: 5
PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE 2G,3G & 4G(LTE) NETWORK SOLUTIONS

  1. RF DriveTest and Optimizations.
  2. Installation and commissioning of BTS & MW.
  3. Los Survey & Microwave Planning.
  4. RF Planning.
  5. Various types of telecom tools & Software.
